GCSE exam predictor: revise the topics that keep coming up first

Upload your board's GCSE past papers and mark schemes, plus your mocks. ExamPredictor ranks the topics most likely to be examined, how often each has appeared and for how many marks, and quotes the papers behind every one, so you spend the weeks before your GCSEs on what counts most.

About the GCSE exams

GCSEs in England are graded 9 to 1 and examined mostly in a summer series in May and June, usually at the end of Year 11.

Each subject's specification sets out the topics and the papers, including any tiers such as Foundation and Higher in maths and the sciences.

Where to find past papers

AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR publish GCSE past papers and mark schemes on their websites; the newest series often goes to teachers first.

Use papers for your own tier, since Foundation and Higher papers test different ranges.

How to predict your GCSE topics

  1. 1

Gather three or more past papers for your subject, board and tier, with mark schemes.

  2. 2

    Add your mock exams.

  3. 3

Run ExamPredictor and read the Exam Radar.

  4. 4

Revise the top topics first, then practise full papers against the mark schemes.

A prediction is a revision order, not a leaked paper. Use it to decide what to revise first, and still cover the rest of the syllabus.
