A-level exam predictor: the topics your board keeps coming back to
Upload your board's past A-level papers and mark schemes, from AQA, Pearson Edexcel or OCR, plus your mocks and class notes. ExamPredictor reads every paper, ranks the specification topics most likely to be examined and how many marks they usually carry, and quotes the papers behind each one, so your revision follows the evidence.
About the A-levels exams
A-levels are two-year qualifications examined mostly at the end of Year 13, in a summer series in May and June, and graded A* to E.
Each board publishes a specification that lists every topic and how the papers are structured. A prediction is most useful read alongside it.
Where to find past papers
AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR publish past papers with mark schemes and examiners' reports on their websites.
The most recent series is often released to teachers first, so ask your school for the newest papers.
How to predict your A-levels topics
- 1
Download at least three past series for your board, subject and paper, with mark schemes.
- 2
Add your mock papers and any examiners' reports.
- 3
Run ExamPredictor and read the ranked topics, each with marks, format and a quote.
- 4
Plan revision from the top of the Exam Radar down, then practise with the mark schemes.
A prediction is a revision order, not a leaked paper. Use it to decide what to revise first, and still cover the rest of the syllabus.
Questions people ask
- Does it work for every exam board?
- Yes. It reads whatever papers you upload, so AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and WJEC all work. Use papers from one board and one specification for the best result.
- Will it tell me what is on this year's paper?
- No. It tells you which topics are most likely, from the pattern in past papers. Revise the rest too.
- Can I use it for retakes?
- Yes, the same way: upload the past papers for the specification you are sitting.
