A worked example: a voltage divider
Draw the divider: 12 V across R1 = 10 kΩ and R2 = 4.7 kΩ in series, output taken across R2. The output is Vout = Vin × R2 / (R1 + R2) = 12 × 4.7 / 14.7, which is about 3.84 V, and the current is 12 V / 14.7 kΩ, about 0.82 mA. Write that working by hand, press Check, and a slip such as using R1 on top of the fraction gets a note beside that line.
A worked example: a beam
For a simply supported beam of span L with a point load P at midspan, the largest bending moment is P × L / 4 at the centre, and the deflection there is P × L³ / (48 × E × I). Sketch the beam, write the numbers in, and Check follows the units through. Treat it as a second pair of eyes: anything structural that matters needs a qualified engineer.
From a rough sketch to something you can show

- Is Draimo a CAD tool?
- No. It is for thinking, checking and visualising. Export SVG into your drawing tools for precise work.
- Will it catch every mistake?
- No tool does. It shows its reasoning so you can follow it; check anything safety-critical with a qualified engineer.
- Does it work with a stylus on a tablet?
- Yes. Pen pressure is read where the device reports it.
