An AI whiteboard for block diagrams and flowcharts: sketch a system, then ask Draimo to draw it
The Draimo team

Short answer
Open a Draimo Ink page and either draw the blocks yourself, with the rectangle and arrow tools, or describe the system and ask Draimo to draw it. Draimo draws a labelled block diagram beside your work, box by box and arrow by arrow, as vector lines rather than a pasted picture. Move any block with the select tool, then export the page as SVG for slides or a report.
Try it in Draimo
Ask for a block diagram
- Draimo Ink
- A page you write and draw on; Draimo checks your working in the margin and draws diagrams and plots beside it.
- Writing uses no credits; each read uses 15
- Make it real
- Sketch the screens and get a working app or website, checked against your sketch.
- Draimo Lite and Draimo Pro
- Documents
- Writes reports, proposals and decks from your brief and files, and downloads them as Word, PDF, PowerPoint or Excel.
- Draimo Pro
Two ways to get the diagram on the page
Draw it yourself when you already know the shape: the rectangle tool makes a block, the arrow tool connects two, and the text tool labels them. Your hand stays your hand, so a quick sketch in a meeting still looks like a sketch.
Ask Draimo when you know the system but not the layout. Describe it in the margin, for example "a block diagram of a home Wi-Fi network: modem, router, switch, three devices", and Draimo draws it below your work in its own colour, element by element: boxes, arrows and labels, with any maths typeset properly.
Diagrams that suit it
| Diagram | What to ask for |
|---|---|
| Control system | Reference, controller, plant, sensor, with the feedback path and a summing junction |
| Signal chain | Microphone, preamp, filter, ADC, processor, with what each stage does |
| Software architecture | Client, API, queue, worker, database, with arrows for each request |
| Process flow | The steps of a process as boxes, with a decision as a branch |
| Circuit overview | Power supply, regulator, microcontroller, sensors, as blocks before the schematic |
Tidy it, then take it with you
Press V for the select tool to pick up any block you drew and move or resize it; arrows you drew are objects too. Draimo's drawing stays beside the work it belongs to, and you can hide it or include it when you export.
Export the page as SVG to keep every line sharp in slides, a report or a wiki, or as PNG, or print it. For a full write-up around the diagram, ask Draimo's chat for the document; documents are part of Draimo Pro.
From a diagram to something that runs
If the boxes are the screens of an app or the sections of a website, Make it real reads the sketch and builds a working app or site that matches it, on Draimo Lite and Pro. The guide on turning a sketch into an app shows how, and the one-minute video shows a website built from a sketch.

What it costs
Drawing and writing use no credits, and pages save on your device without an account. Each time Draimo reads the page, to draw, check or answer, it uses 15 credits.
Questions people ask
- Can AI draw a block diagram for me?
- Yes. On a Draimo Ink page, describe the system and ask Draimo to draw it. It draws labelled boxes and arrows beside your notes, as vector lines you can export as SVG.
- Can I edit the diagram after it is drawn?
- Blocks and arrows you draw yourself can be moved and resized with the select tool. Draimo's drawing stays beside your work; ask it to draw again with your changes if the layout needs to differ.
- Does it work as a whiteboard in a meeting?
- Yes, as a page you share your screen with. Draw with a mouse, finger or stylus, in the browser on a laptop, iPad, Android tablet or Chromebook.
- What does it cost?
- Drawing uses no credits and needs no account. Each read, including asking Draimo to draw, uses 15 credits.
