An AI notebook for iPad and stylus: handwriting, maths and diagrams it can read
The Draimo team

Short answer
Draimo Ink is a notebook you write and draw on with an Apple Pencil, any stylus, a finger or a mouse. It reads your page only when you ask: Check notes the line where your working slipped, Mark adds ticks and crosses, and it can plot a function, draw a chart or a labelled diagram beside yours. Writing and drawing use no credits; each read uses 15.

Why handwriting still matters
Maths, physics, chemistry and design are worked out by hand. Typing an equation into a chat box loses the working, and the working is where the mistakes are. A notebook that understands your handwriting lets you keep thinking with a pen while getting the one thing a page cannot give you: someone to look over your shoulder when you ask.
Writing that feels like writing
Ink reads pen pressure on devices that report it, so an Apple Pencil line thickens as you press. A finger or a mouse gets a natural simulated pressure. Once a pen is on the page, a resting palm is ignored, so you can write as you would on paper. Strokes keep their width at any zoom, so a line drawn zoomed in on a phone looks the same on a laptop.
A notebook holds up to 50 pages. Page view keeps a margin for Draimo's notes; Board view gives you an open canvas. Tidy turns a rough stroke into a straight line, an arrow, a box or a circle when you ask, and undo brings your original back.
Check, Mark, and ask
Draimo never reads your page while you write. It reads only when you ask, and what it does depends on what you ask for.
| Ask for | What happens |
|---|---|
| Check | Notes beside your working, pointing to the line where it went wrong, with no grade |
| Mark | Ticks and crosses beside each line, like a teacher marking |
| A question | Ask about anything on the page, in the margin |
| Practice | A new problem like the last one, written on your page; solve it, then press Check |
| Continue my writing | A suggested next line in Draimo's colour; keep it or dismiss it |
| A drawing | A plot of a function, a bar, line or pie chart, or a labelled diagram, drawn beside your work |
Diagrams, plots and typeset maths
Ask for a graph of y = x² - 4x + 3 and Draimo draws it beside your working, in its own hand and its own indigo colour, never red. Ask for a labelled diagram of a cell, a circuit or a force diagram and it draws it element by element, as a person would. Maths in Draimo's notes is typeset properly, so fractions and roots read cleanly next to your handwriting.
Draimo's notes sit in the margin, laid out so they never cover your work. Hide them when you want a clean page, and choose whether exports include them.
For students: use it to learn, not to skip
Check is designed to point at the line that slipped, not to hand you a finished solution. Work the problem, ask for a check, fix the line, and ask for a practice problem like it. That loop builds the skill a test measures. The guide on studying with AI without cheating covers how to keep it honest.
Save, export and keep
Pages save on your device as you write, even without an account, and sync to your account when you sign in. Export a page as a PNG image or an SVG vector, or print it. On paid plans, file a page in your Library: it is kept as an image, with the words Draimo read made searchable, next to your other work.
Beyond notes: apps, art and video
The same page goes further. Sketch an app's screens and press Make it real to get a working app that matches your sketch, on Draimo Lite and Pro; the guide on turning a sketch into an app shows how. Turn a drawing into finished art in one of twelve styles, then into a five-second video, on paid plans. See the Golden Gate in fog, drawn as a sketch and finished as a watercolour.
How to start on an iPad
Ink runs in the browser on iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac. There is nothing to install.
- Open draimo.com/ink in Safari on your iPad.
- Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, to open it like an app.
- Write with your Apple Pencil; rest your hand on the screen as you would on paper.
- When you want a check, ask for one. Sign in for reads; writing never needs credits.
Questions people ask
- Does Draimo Ink work with Apple Pencil?
- Yes. It reads pen pressure on devices that report it and ignores a resting palm once a pen is on the page. A finger or a mouse also works, with a natural simulated pressure.
- Can AI read my handwritten maths?
- Yes. When you ask, Draimo reads your page and can check your working line by line, mark it, or answer a question about it.
- Does it grade me?
- Only if you ask it to Mark. Check leaves notes beside your work without a grade.
- Can it draw graphs and diagrams?
- Yes. Ask for a plot of a function, a bar, line or pie chart, or a labelled diagram, and Draimo draws it beside your work.
- What does Draimo Ink cost?
- Writing and drawing use no credits, and pages save on your device without an account. Each read uses 15 credits. Making apps needs Draimo Lite or Pro, and pictures and animation need a paid plan.
- Is there an app to download?
- No download is needed. Ink runs in the browser on iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac, and you can add it to your home screen.
- Can I export my notes?
- Yes: as a PNG image, an SVG vector, or by printing. On paid plans you can also file a page in your Library with its words searchable.
Write the first line of a problem, then ask Draimo to check it.
