Why most meeting notes fail
The person taking notes is not really in the meeting, and the notes record what was said rather than what was decided. A week later nobody can remember who owned the follow-up. A recording fixes the first problem; asking the recording the right questions fixes the second.
How it works
- Tell everyone you would like to record, and why. Start only when they agree.
- Open Echo, choose Meeting, and tap record.
- Stop at the end. Echo transcribes the recording and writes a summary.

Consent, and GDPR in Europe
In the EU and the UK, a recording of people is personal data. Tell participants before you record, have a clear reason, keep the recording only as long as you need it, and follow your employer's policy. In any country, recording people without telling them damages trust even where it is legal.
